It's amazing to see how things change when you're gone for so long. I've probably signed on to the website about 5 times in the last year (obviously not posting anything in that time) and have seen the website rearrange a lot of things. I think I'm finally getting used to it. It's also wonderful to see how a lot of the artists I watch have changed and improved with their artist skill. Some have even branched into new styles that I've never seen them do and they've in turn created some beautiful artwork. It saddens me because, to be honest, I've not really done anything to practice and improve my own skills. I have no excuse, I'm just a lazy person... although I can be a very dedicated lazy person. To avoid doing anything productive on my day off I have gone through the 3000+ deviations that I have not gone through in so long. Amazingly, I've had deviations that needed to be viewed since 2008... =O

It has been over two years since I've updated with anything, journal and deviation, and it'll probably stay that way for a little longer. I'm currently looking at possible rooms/apartments to move into as I've decided that 23 years old is a good time to move out of the house. I think my play at being a 'responsible adult' has gone on long enough, since I can only pretend on so much while I'm living under my parents roof. It's about time I grow up and learn some new responsibilities. Being young at heart is fine, as I'm sure that's a characteristic of mine that won't go away anytime soon, but change can be good. Well... we'll see how it goes. In the meantime, I'll enjoy all the inspiration I've received from browsing DA for a few hours and try to create something sufficient.

Safe and Sound

Due to the fires in Southern California (Oh noes! You know where I live!) I had packed all of my art, old and new. Looking through them, as curiosity got the better of me today, I realized that there are a few things that I never got to finish that could have turned into something rather nice. Some of which I'm a bit proud of, even if they are a few years old, so I'll be posting them along with some recent stuff. And by recent I mean stuff I've drawn since the last time I posted something... only a few months. Any real art is a bit limited as I'm keeping myself with working 5-6 days a week, two nights a week learning Japanese at a local junior college, and occasional time to spend with friends.

I got a tablet for my birthday back in June and even though I've installed it onto my laptop, I still haven't had the time to actually start testing it out. Hopefully I'll decide to take it out of it's box again and try some new stuff. If you have any tips, please let me know.

I've been drawing a bit more recently and although my submissions are only sketches, I'm happy to have finally submitted something. Look forward to periodic deviations everyone.

Do I Sense A Pattern?

So once again, it's been quite a while since I've been on. I have serious issues for not doing anything artistically. One advantage to not being on in a while is being able to see a few friends progress in their fields, and noticing how my style of drawing keeps changing. I think it's mostly due to the fact that I'm not drawing much of anything these days.

I'm currently wokring on a birthday present for a friend (who's birthday was three days ago) and I promised him it would be done by next Friday. So even though it seems that I say this a lot, you should be seeing some art soon. The only reason I can promise that it'll actually happen, is the fact that I kind of actually HAVE to finish it. No pressureon my end, really... And even though it's no where near finished, I'm liking what I have so far. Hint: Advent Children

Art is Lacking

I tell myself over and over again that I need to pick up a pencil more often. I'm trying to get back in the swing of things since my friend wants me to draw for a personal project of his, but I really haven't been doing much on that. I have been skecthing a bit, but nothing too big. As soon as I get myself to put forth some effort, you'll see a sketch find its way on here. I know there were many things I was supposed to draw for people over the past year or so, but I can't remember for the life of me. If you can, let me know what they were. Since I'm trying to get myself back into the drawing life, it'll be great practise.

September 5th is the first day of school this semester, and I'm really determined to do well. The past 2 years have kind of been a flop for me so I'm trying to whip myself back into shape. Hopefully, it'll actually happen...
